This story is inspired by 'Harry Potter and the Alternative Tournament' by twistyguru. In Chapter 2, Harry asks, 'How would you lot like it if your family were taken by, say the Goblins; dragged down under Gringotts and forced to participate in their yearly games' So… 'What if goblins forced wizards into a tournament? What contests would goblins use to test champions?

After Triwizard Tournament Harry finds a seditious flyer telling muggleborn to leave Hogwarts. Muggleborns and half-bloods endorse idea & Harry learns after fifth year muggle relatives can permit him to flee. Then RoR gives Harry book bag full of diaries and papers written by Lily Evans in 1970s. He reads Lily's Diaries and learns about parents & new magic

The Goblet of Fire isn't a simple artefact – it possesses vast amounts of magic, a rudimentary sentience, and multiple sets of rules for past Triwizard Tournaments. The goblet gets aggravated by interfering wizards, throws out the rules, and takes steps to protect the underage contestant who is drafted into the contest.

This story is inspired by the fanfiction story titled 'Guy Fawkes Day' by MisterQ. Go read it! Space Expansion Charms are unforgiving when misused in that story. Harry witnesses what happens when expansion charms are compromised in the green flames in the Floo network. And Magical Britain twists and turns the events to fit the narrative they are most comfortable with.

When one individual panics in the spring of 1992, he triggers a cascade of changes to the events of Harry Potter's second year. The results are tragic for Magical Britain.

The Triwizard Tournament brings loneliness and isolation for an angry and disillusioned Harry Potter. When the financially astute goblins use a loophole to help Vault-holder Harry Potter, the Boy-Who-Lived begins to break free of Magical Britain.

When Dobby is freed at the end of Harry's second year, he becomes the house elf of the boy-who-lived. With permission and assistance from the grateful Hogwarts house elves, the determined Dobby takes steps to ensure his wizard is safe and able to recover from years of neglect by every adult in his life. And the adults have to pay the price for abuse and neglect.

Terrible events trigger a goblin rebellion in October 1991. In August, Harry Potter's introduction to magical Britain goes differently, and Hagrid's trip to the secret vault…well the cart gets tipped off the track completely. No one in the Ministry for Magic moves to prevent problems from cropping up and finally, the goblins have had enough!

Lord Voldemort provokes the Goblins of Gringotts. He still gets blown up at Potter Cottage and the MoM does not settle the goblins complaints. Mayhem and battle ensue between wizards and goblins. Who wins? What is 'the power he knows not?

Dumbledore's plots create a problem just before the Halloween Feast on 31 October 1991 that have consequences for witches and wizards. Prime Minister John Major is forced to act while things change in Magical Britain. BASH Albus, professors, and Ministry for Magic.

The ritual in the Graveyard to resurrect Lord Voldemort reveals a problem for Tom Riddle, Jr. Something is missing when he steps out of the cauldron, something he couldn't get from Tom Riddle, Sr's bone. (Bashing Riddle, Dumbledore, professors, Houses at Hogwarts, and Ministry for Magic)

This tragedy in Magical Britain asked to be written. Harry travels to India where to study parseltongue magic. Reaching one stop in the trip home, he learns of a tragedy that strikes close to him. Worse, there are attempts to cover it up. This is pretty–uh–very dark. Be warned. BASHING Goblins, Weasleys, Ministry.

After Harry Potter's name came out of the Goblet of Fire, Hogwarts turns against the Boy-Who-Lived. Draco Malfoy finds an ancient spell in an obscure book of magical shields. With the support of Professor Snape, Malfoy convinces Albus to allow him to cast the spell on Harry Potter, expecting to force him to tell the truth how he entered the Triwizard Tournament.

End of 3rd year, during the fight in Shrieking Shack, Pettigrew drops a magical sack that Harry hides, not looking inside until returned to No.4 Privet Dr. There's a journal begun by Lucius Malfoy with a spell to cast taboo on Lord Voldie's name, and Pettigrew's plans to cast spell on 'Lord Voldemort' and 'He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.' What can Harry do with this spell?

Harry learns that Horcruxes don't work as advertised. They work but not in the manner contemporary wizards think. His fifth year at Hogwarts is complicated by Horcruxes, visitors, pink toads, and headmasters with their own agendas. (Bash Umbridge quickly and then more and more on Dumbles. Lots of OC's show up in the story)

After a troll destroys her washroom, Myrtle Warren and the other ghosts meet on All Saint's Day. They decide to do something about the decay in Hogwarts standards by calling for other ghosts to appear and stay for a year. What kind of changes can the ghosts bring about? Will Myrtle make friends? No ships. Mild Bash Dumbledore, McGonagall, Snape, and Lucius Malfoy BASH! (ONE SHOT)

August 1994, Dumbledore needs to consolidate his power in Magical Britain. He wanted the Tri-Wizard Tournament and the ministry was reluctant to provide the funds. So, he arranges a trial for Sirius. Harry is confined to the Burrow and comes into conflict with Molly who loses her temper. There are consequences.

Summer after third year at Hogwarts begins with lower floors of Hogwarts filling with poisonous, caustic gas rising from the Chamber of Secrets. Elves save furniture and portraits but can't get anyone to pay attention to warnings. Several individuals enter castle but none of them ever leave. Dobby visits Harry Potter and word gets out. But Dumbledore doesn't pay attention.

In the year of the Tri-Wizard Tournament, several young women at Hogwarts are driven to despair by the machinations of meddling men. In an act of desperation, they take steps to remove the meddlesome and cantankerous wizards. No major ships, bashing DD, Snape, and MG. Several OC's are the primary characters in the story. Harry and his friends as observers mostly.

In the summer of 1994, Nymphadora Tonks receives extra training from Alastor Moody before he begins his year as DADA professor at Hogwarts. The training culminates in a major change of events in late August. Changes cascade from this major change across the rest of 1994. Six chapters are planned. No ships and not really any Harry.

A reviewer shared idea of dementors getting sucked into the internet. Year 3 and 4 story where Harry has unfair advantage and spells to help. By accident, Lupin discovered sounds of dial-up internet lures dementors and legilimens to their doom. Forced into Tri-Wizard, Harry plots revenge on professors and students who make his life miserable. Bash Voldie, Dumbles, Purebloods

Harry's exceptional summer between third and fourth years at Hogwarts begins with revising the goblin wars and figuring out how to get help from trusted adults. He spends time in the sunshine and thinks about his runic arrays and cartouche. The summer gets intense before return to Hogwarts where professors have stupid restrictions once again. Lots of things won't work on Harry Potter because of a combination of basilisk venom and phoenix tears in his blood. The trauma of the events after the third task bring those two elements in Harry's blood to the forefront. Not fun for dementors, professors and love potions. Slash but only in some conversations. Neville gets a huge surprise! (This only goes through January 1996)

Harry's lessons with Professor Snape to learn how to defend his mind from intrusion are only causing the teenager great pain. A little friend prays for help and the next night the ghost of Lily Potter shows up and possesses Severus Snape. Lily helps Harry for the first month and the James has his turn as the helper and he teaches his son to prank the Death Eaters. One shot/no ships

Harry's stay at the Leaky Cauldron in August 1993 gives him chance to explore magical subjects and read books without interference from adults or opinions of peers for the first time. He changes his elective to Runes for his third year. The Dementors attack and make the year difficult. And there's a crazy convict after him. This changes his life and prospects. No ships. Bash! Bash!

As summer 96 ends Albus Dumbledore dreams about golden egg Harry retrieved from dragon in first task of tournament. He cannot understand why he is dreaming about the egg. Albus cannot discover who inherited Black title and wealth. Dark Lord hiding and Cornelius Fudge clings to office. Gringotts not happy with Albus. Harry Potter remains quiet in Surry. No ships. Bashing Everyone.

With threat of decimation among the wizards destroying goblin profits in Gringotts, a determined young goblin looks for a way to prevent vaults from being sealed up for a thousand years. The changes in the timeline are profound when she proves successful. There will be time jumps back and forth from 1980 to 1997. Teenage Harry/OC. Heavy bashing of Tom Riddle, Death Eaters. One shot

Accidental magic is a problem for all young wizards and witches, especially when they are distressed or scared. Freak despairs at age five because no one notices him or cares for him. When he is taken from his cupboard and knows 'Aunt Tuna' and 'Unc Vern' plan to desert him at a hospital, the small boy's fear causes his magic to react spontaneously.

When Harry receives the Potter Invisibility Cloak at Christmas in 1991, he is surprised and pleased to discover the cloak has something of a trickster personality and spell crafting skills. How does this impact the rest of first year and the following years at Hogwarts? Some bashing of professors, Dumbledore, and Riddle.

In autumn of 1980, the Death Eaters disappear and soon Lord Voldemort disappears as well along with other despicable wizards and witches–well, they are despicable in the future. Harry is trapped inside loveless marriage with Ginny and discovers she is cheating. But magic won't allow her to bring a cuckoo into the Potter nest without penalties. And her Mother just cheers her daughter on. And old story I wrote a couple years ago.

When Fred and George Weasley attempt to place their names into the Goblet of Fire, crossing Dumbledore's age line, the Goblet of Fire's magic reacts and grabs them. Something very unexpected happens to the Wizard-Who-Was-Twins.

Something very strange things happen, when Harry and Hermione use the time turner at the end of third year. Time does not like the horcrux in Harry's head and sends it to hell, leaving Harry able to make Time Stand Still while he runs around, moves people and creates mayhem. And Harry Potter from the future is writing letters to Harry in 1993. (Will be implied Slash)

Voldemort and his Death Eaters disappear during the summer between Harry's fifth and sixth years at Hogwarts. Dumbledore stumbles in his many roles and must reassess his position. Harry sees Susan Bones in new light, and the Sparklemaggots get bashed… a lot.

This story is fairly dark and not kind to Magical Britain. Harry is an abused child who used magic to 'hide' and does not trust adults. He is sorted into Hufflepuff and keeps his own counsel. He knows the only way to keep a secret is to not tell anyone. But he makes true friends in Hufflepuff, learns to trust some people. But first he must survive the dangers at Hogwarts.

When Harry arrives at Gringotts, Hagrid produces the key but there's nothing else proving that the child is Harry Potter. What if there is a dark story behind the origin of the Boy-Who-Lived. Bashing Potters, Sirius and Dumbles. Good Goblins and Harry's adventures at Hogwarts. HEA in the end.

Harry learns early in first year that Dumbles intends to keep him with Dursleys every summer. He makes a friend of unique Hogwarts elf and they plan for ways to get around the prison on Privet Drive with magical portraits. Dumbles plans get tumbled by Harry's friends. Three fairly dark chapters planned with an HEA ending somehow...

A real prophecy involves Rubeus Hagrid. In Harry's second year, the giant spends his days planting a hedge around Hogwarts. Story takes dark turn every once in a while with "wait... what?" Lots of bashing of Dumbledore, McGonagall, Fudge, and Umbridge. There'll be seven parts.

After the Tri-Wizard Tournament, journalists write inflammatory articles focusing on danger of loss of so many magical families. Everyone ignores report that Dark Lord has returned. Dumbledore convenes Order of the Phoenix where he and Molly Weasley push forward a betrothal between Harry & Ginny without considering penalties of Family Magic.

Harry's adventures in fourth year with a slightly darker view - some deaths and lots of blood. Dumbledore, Cedric bashing. Harry makes true friends with Fleur and Krum but there are no ships. (He's fourteen!)

Blood Feud: Set in third year Dobby helps Sirius Black improve Harry's year at Hogwarts. Elves capture Wormtail & Sirius plans to spend Yule with his godson. But dementors attack students as they queue for Hogwarts Express. Six students are kissed. Seeking justice Sirius declares blood feud against Fudge & Dumbledore. Others fall in Black vengeance Snape, Umbridge & Weasleys

RoR takes Harry to ancestral home to meet portrait of Fleamont Potter. They contact goblins and set kneazles loose among owls. Goblins audit Dumbledore spending for last ten years. Harry discovers parseltongue spells and changes Unforgivable. Magical Britain changes. Dobby creates mischief. Bash Dumbledore Weasleys. SLASH. Harry only 14 so he watches adults react

Here's a short story set during Harry's third year. Who gives a fourteen-year-old a powerful artefact to bend time. Did anyone monitor her use? Did anyone warn her of the consequences of misuse? Also something different with Basilisk! Dumbledore Ron & Sirius bashing (no pairings)

Set in fall term of third year the Dementor on train kisses the scar and sucks out the shard of Riddle's soul – with interesting reaction in the Dementor. Declared 'uninteresting' without the Dark Lord's mark, Harry is deserted by old friends and ignored by Dumbledore but he makes new friends. Then he receives a letter from Dementor who wants something.

At the end of Harry's third year, he becomes Lord Black when Sirius is kissed by dementor at Hogwarts. Dobby helps Harry escape Dumbledore's control and Gringotts helps. The new Lord Black grows up that summer and the Fourth Year is very different. Slash but Harry's 14 - nothing is going to happen. He confounds Snape, Fudge and the portrait of Lady Black. HEA ending.
