After a nasty breakup, Hermione is spending Christmas alone. She wants to avoid running in to her ex at the Ministry's Yule Ball, but her boss has made it clear that she's expected to go. Upon arriving, something comes over her and she can't shake the feeling that she's forgotten something. Before she can work it out, a handsome stranger claims he is her date and asks her dance.
