Just a bit of Hogwarts-era, budding Nevmione drabble. (Missed moment/Could have been canon)

Hermione and Fred have been friends for years, but as Hermione approaches a life-changing decision, can their friendship survive? Or will it develop into something more? This is a holiday-themed story with a guaranteed HEA. Please, for the love of God, don't judge it by the summary.

Following the battle in which they lost Moody and George had been injured, Fred and Hermione fall together rather than falling apart.

"What the fuck happened, Malfoy!" She exploded, her voice cracking as she turned toward him. "One minute I'm being tortured, convinced that I'm going to die in your family's tacky drawing room, there's spellfire, a crash that felt like a ruddy earthquake, and then I wake up here, with you of all people!"
