After refusing Harry's offer of escape, Draco returns home, where he is thrown into the life of a Death Eater. Scarred, looked down on, and terrified, Draco focuses on his assignments while navigating the complex dynamics within Malfoy Manor. But when he fails to prove himself, everything he is and everything he has is stripped away.

Lucius failed at the Ministry, and Draco is sent to Hogwarts with a cryptic warning that he will be tasked with an unknown mission. He expects to spend his sixth year on prefect rounds with Pansy and finally beating Potter on the Quidditch Pitch. He never expected his new roommate to be Voldemort himself, or that Voldemort's obsession with trophies would apply to him.

The war is over, the trials completed, and the castle rebuilt. In hopes of a quiet, conflict-free year, Hermione, Ron, and Harry return to Hogwarts to finish their NEWTs. But at the welcome feast, a new plan for unity is unveiled, and all students are resorted. Despite the calls for forgiveness, resorting the students brings back old prejudices and sheds light on new.
