Luna's wedding didn't come as a surprise- and yet, it was still disappointing. *Cross-posted to AO3 under user "apodius".
As Tom stalks forward and Harry's shoulders hunch, he thinks that maybe he should have left back when he first heard Tom telling Pettigrew that he owed him money and then he stopped coming to Tom's parties and soirees, stopped taking calls and responding to messages, got declared missing. But he didn't *Cross-posted on AO3 under user "apodius".
At the graveyard, Harry isn't killed. He isn't tortured, or threatened, or even really harassed. Cedric dies. Pettigrew cuts him, uses the blood to resurrect Voldemort, and then they just- Leave. Just like that. There isn't a speech. There isn't any gloating. It's just him, the corpse of a classmate, and the crickets chirping. He thinks that this is worse, anyway.
It was an accident. The stove hadn't been left burning on purpose, Harry hadn't stayed out at the park for so long on purpose, and the Dursleys hadn't been killed on purpose. (He knows he's lying.) *Cross-posted on AO3 under user "apodius".
The morgue is just as quiet and calm as always. The bodies are as cold and still as they are every day. Tonight, though, he finds a corpse that isn't a corpse and has to decide whether or not they'll die properly. *Cross-posted on AO3 under user "apodius".
Tom is just a lawyer with a love for monotony trying to get revenge against an old, bigoted psychiatrist-turned-professor. Poor Harry is just a stepping stone to his ultimate goal: the damnation of one Albus Dumbledore, through as many lawsuits as physically possible. *Cross-posted on AO3 under user "apodius".
When he was young, Harry thought that the lessons Mr. Dumbledore was giving him were just games, like the ones other children played. Then he realised he was being trained to kill. *Cross-posted on AO3 under user "apodius".
The upper years were all kneeling around Tom, foreheads pressed into the dirty floor, and he looked like an angel. It was stunning. *Cross-posted on AO3 under user "apodius".
Meeting someone who wasn't an asshole about his condition shouldn't have changed anything. It did anyway. *Cross-posted on AO3 under user "apodius".
Harry never gets Dudley's second bedroom. Nobody ever finds out about the cupboard, the bruises, the chores. All he gets is the garden. *Cross-posted on AO3 under user "apodius".
Could Harry really be blamed for retreating into his mind after all that's happened? *Cross-posted on AO3 under user "apodius".
In which Harriet is a monster and Tommy loves her for it. *Cross-posted on AO3 under user "apodius".
It was probably better when I was a child. Then, all I saw was my cupboard, my relatives, and strange shapes on the walls and figures in the corner of my eye. Now, though, it is much worse. *Cross-posted on AO3 under user "apodius".
Harry didn't get his Hogwarts letter. At first, Tom had thought it might just be a bit late, but now it's been a year since Harry turned 11. He wasn't magical. Tom stopped talking to him after that. *Cross-posted on AO3 under user "apodius".
Tom's on the floor, sprawled out between his favourite chair in the living room and the coffee table. There's a puddle of blood under his head, growing larger and larger, and splatters of yet more blood on the coffee table. As I reach him, I see his chest stop rising. I see his body become limp; his jaw, always clenched, goes lax. His pupils dilate. He's dead.
Rage. In his eyes, in his heart, in his soul, in his hands. "Would you like sugar with your tea?" Dirt. In my eyes, in my mouth, in my hair. "Yes, please." Worms. Digging through my body, eating their way through my decomposing flesh, burrowing under my bones. "Thank you, Tom." *Cross-posted on AO3 under user "apodius".
Two short, almost-but-not-quite related short stories of the world only knowing chaos and the heroes only knowing agony. *Cross-posted on AO3 under user "apodius".
Harry Potter is dead, the aurors won't tell anyone what's happening, and Dumbledore needs to know what happened to his precious little golden boy. It's just Severus's luck that Dumbledore decides that he would make a good investigator. *Cross-posted on AO3 under user "apodius".
What if James Potter was less mature? More impulsive? Maybe even a bit bigoted. And what happens when someone uses a charm (which wasn't in any way tested) to ensure an heir? Here are the repercussions of the aforementioned changes. (Cross posted on ao3 under user "apodius") (Rated M just in case. There will be violence and death.)
A very stereotypical 'Harry realizes Dumbledore and Voldemort are bad people and becomes powerful/knowledgeable' fanfiction. (Oneshot)
