Hermione and Ginny attend a new 'temporary' magical school in London's East End, set up whilst Howarts is being repaired, in order to complete their educations. There they meet up with an ex-enemy and form an unlikely new trio, in order to investigate an old Victorian mystery.

I for one didn't feel that a certain villain even came close to getting his due 'comeuppance' in The Hunger Games, his death was too 'mild' by far. So I wrote this somewhat gory little drabble to balance that and bring an element of the story's title into play.

Valhalla, the place where Norse heroes go after they die, a place where they fight fiercely and joyously all day and even if they are slain are reborn to feast and carouse all night for all eternity in Odin's Hall. But Hunger Games Tributes were not Norse heroes, simply murdered children, so where did they go when they died? Rated T for as a precaution, some fairly mild violence.
Railway trains are not only important to the pupils of Hogwarts to take them back and forth to school. They also the carry Tributes to The Capitol to take part in The Hunger Games, and take their dead bodies home to their grieving parents. So perhaps it is possible that sometimes spirits from both worlds might meet at 'that' station, in the pristine whiteness outside time.
This is based on the short scene in the movie just after Katniss comes off stage from her interview with Caesar Flickerman. It's where I see the romance between Haymitch and Effie first beginning, although at the start it's more like a war! Rated T only as a precaution, very mild sexual content only.
All lives come to an end, even those of heroes and heroines. This is how Katniss and Peeta enter their afterlife and the joyous reunion they find there. This is a follow up to my previous story To Banish Darkness, but can be read separately. This 'stand alone' one-shot may later be extended as and when I am able to do so.
After surviving two Hunger Games Arena battles and bringing about the overthrow of the evil Capitol regime of President Snow, more than anybody Katniss Everdeen and Peter Mellark deserved to be happy and at peace. Sadly though they were still both tortured by terrible nightmares. But perhaps there was one place that could help? Rated T as a precaution only, milder than the books.
One night, long after the events told in Mockingjay, Peeta and Katniss Mellark, by now a very old couple, are sleeping and find themselves sharing the same strange dream. They both awake to find themselves back in the 74th Hunger Games Arena, both of them young again. This is who they meet there and is a story of love, forgiveness and redemption. I may post a follow up later.
These Harry Potter song lyrics are not entirely mine, but they are an almost complete rewrite intended to Anglicise a song which was originally written by the female American musician Lauren Fairweather and make it more 'culturally relevant' to UK Harry Potter fans. The original American version is available from You Tube amongst other online sources and is brilliant!

This is an event I always wondered about. This is my 'version'. The story is a rewrite as some felt, and I agreed, that the original ending was a bit weak and badly flawed. I hope this new attempt is better.
I am posting this little Christmas story now, in summer, as it has been a particularly bad spring and early summer here in Britain. What with the months of foul weather, the Banking Crisis, Euro Crisis, Austerity, Political, Media & Financial Corruption Crisis and the oncoming End Of The World I thought we could all use a little out of season Christmas Cheer. This one-shot is a revised and extended version of an earlier 'incarnation' of this story/article/ramblings/whatever you like to call it, regarding my own personal version of the post-war wizarding world, within which I tend to write much of my fiction. Watching him from the afterlife and seeing how badly Teddy needs them their spirits come to him in a dream when he arrives at Hogwarts for the first time.
A muggle is seriously injured in the street right outside The Leaky Cauldron and a kindly young witch saves his life. He decides to seek work in the Magical world. Rating is precautionary only for very mild sexual content.
The day a young Horace Slughorn decided to help a destitute, sick and pregnant young witch he met by chance in The Leaky Cauldron was, although nobody would ever know it , the most fortunate day in the entire history of Wizardry.
Update on the wizarding world post the final battle. Serious in part but mainly a light piece of Ron/Hermione fluff. Hermione finally learns to love flying a broom, thanks to Ron's sneakiness. More chapters ready to upload. Please review. Very mild T.
