There are two similarities between Harry Potter and Daphne Greengrass. Both of them are partial to their mothers and both of them hate each other passionately. When they are elected as the Head Boy and Head Girl of Hogwarts, can they put aside their personal issues and work together? AU with Neville as BWL. Rated M for multiple reasons.

One shot. Harry Potter and his crime fighting partner get another assignment. But his partner has doubts about his usefulness. Harry has to use a secret resource to prove his partner wrong. Non epilogue compliant. Rating for occasional F bombs.

"That date was the reason I was shocked to death when I saw that troll. Of course my hero Harry then came to save me and defeat the big bad troll." Tonks ended dramatically, placing a sloppy kiss on Harry's red cheek. He would die before he admitted this to her, but when she said that, he felt rather proud of himself.

"Great! So I'll pick you up within an hour for the date. Yeah?" without waiting for an answer, he disapparated. There goes my chance of catching the 'Dark Auror', she thought bitterly. She was pretty sure Harry Potter just escaped through her fingers. OOC, Grey Harry.

Harry looked hard at her for a moment, and then asked "what would you do if I was your friend?" The question took her totally off-guard and she stared at him for a few seconds. Then, in a strange voice, she replied "I don't know Potter."

Many things would never be the same again, but Harry was glad that some things, like the relationship of his two best friends, would never change, whatever came between them. Oneshot. RonHermione & HarryGinny
