After all these years, it almost seemed surreal to find him on the beach preparing to duel James to the death. Lily wondered if Snape would kill her too, even if she begged him not too. Not that she would beg him. Lily couldn't live in a world that didn't have James Potter in it. If Snape was going to dig James' grave, then he'd best dig two.

The story begins in New York. There was a man who could see the beauty in small things and a witch who was known by everyone and no one. Her heart belonged in London and his heart belonged to her, even if she couldn't stay. They loved each other recklessly and paid the price. Timing is a funny thing. They lost each other but they found themselves and somehow, that was everything.

Jealousy is a wicked thing, especially when Lily realizes she fancies her best friend just one minute too late...

He found them, settled between the years 1977 and 1979. He examined the girl first, leaning on the boys arm and looking up at him like he was the night sky. Her dark hair almost looked brown until light from Harry's wand casted over the shadowed frame. Red and gold strands lit up in the dark like fire and her eyes, green as a bottle, turned their attention on him.

James is a chivalrous git sometimes but at the end of the day, he always means well.
