Following the disastrous Battle at the Dept of Mysteries and Sirius's loss, Harry decides to establish a wizarding residence and immediately go into a war footing. Gringott's helps with their services and soon Harry and team are bringing Linfred Hall, the true seat of the Potter family, up to war standards.

In a world with no Statute of Secrecy, where the magical and the mundane are integrated and with a much larger magical population, Harry navigates his 3rd year and his own responsibilities as a lord Potter as well as a growing threat beginning to take shape, but as yet unknown.

Hermione's summer research turns up the ancient and fabled Portal of Hakar, a magical transport through space, time and possibly dimension. Soon she discovers how to control the portal and Harry Potter and crew set off on a new mission to rescue his forlorn Dogfather, the continuously recalcitrant, Lord Sirius Orion Black.
