The end of their third year taught the trio one very important lesson, if they were going to survive to see their graduation then they were going to need to take matters into their own hands. H/Hr/L, Ron/?

This hope was dashed quickly when Hermione discovered her beloved books would grant her no special insight or help in this new endeavor. Yes, she sought information, but apparently the Hogwarts library and its wealth of tomes, both ancient and slightly more modern, lacked exactly this type.
Harry wasn't the first to ask that question, but the result had been the same every time. If she said yes, they'd laugh and ask if she really thought they were asking her before ridiculing her for being so foolish. Phrases like 'how did you make it into Ravenclaw' tended to be thrown in by that point. If she said no, they'd still laugh and the phrase would instead be something alon

At least Harry wasn't entirely uncomfortable. While most of his body could feel the hard ground, his head apparently found much better accommodations upon something oddly smooth and soft. Whatever that was, he had no clue.

A simple plan, with equally simple tools, but one they'd availed themselves of more times than could be counted. Hermione wasn't about to deny these meetings were one of the only things keeping her sanity intact. Harry and Luna didn't have to speak for her to know they felt the same.

In a totally Aerith-like move, the flower girl was out in the rain, giggling and dancing like she was having the time of her life. Just like Cloud, Tifa found herself utterly enthralled by the sight.
Another scream ripped its way out of Cloud. The harder he tried to remember, the more intense the pain grew. The sensation changed from a stabbing pain, to someone taking a sledgehammer and mashing his skull into paste. But Cloud pushed on, he needed to remember, and if it was going to hurt, then so be it.
This was all it took, not a touch or anything, but rather a single glance at her lovers, and Aerith's heart would go crazy. At the rate she was going, she would start having cracked ribs one of these days. How Cloud and Tifa slept through the sound was anyone's guess.
Right then, Tifa had a strange sensation pass through her body. She'd never felt it before, but it was almost as if she felt something deep within her mind snap and… break.
Aerith had been like any other child growing up. She sometimes misbehaved and had to be reprimanded and punished. For this, all parents had that voice they used when they had to discipline their child. But Aerith hadn't heard it in a very long time, she was twenty-two after all, but now she was about to become reacquainted with it.
"Except us!" Tifa shook him a little rougher this time, her voice dropping deeper into a near snarl herself. "Right now, the only people in the entire world that can save Aerith is the three of us. And if something happens to us, Aerith has no chance left. None! And everything going on in that damn brain of yours is going to come true. All of it! And it's going to be your fault."
Ooh, Jessie let Barret have it, alright. She owed Cloud her life and wasn't about to take someone insulting the man lying down. Just because Cloud wasn't allowed within their secret hideout, something else that rubbed Jessie the wrong way, doesn't mean he shouldn't have someone sticking up for him.
It hurt, it was an actual physical ache that they had to part ways now. Aerith would have given almost anything to prolong this just a little longer. But she'd taken them on the slow path, made them stop for numerous unnecessary breaks, and done anything in her power to buy more time.
"It's umm…" Aerith struggled to form the proper words. Too weak and the point wouldn't get across, too strong would be needlessly cruel. "A dump?" Cloud, blunt as a wrecking ball, finished. "I wouldn't say that." Aerith laughed nervously. "Not… quite."
"This calls for an experiment." Jessie rubbed her hands together menacingly. "Oh, crap." Biggs' eyes went wide as he turned to Wedge. "Forget the bomb shelter, we need to leave Midgar, right now. Crap's about to hit the fan." "What about the women and children?" "No time!" "Can it, guys." Jessie grinned standing to her feet. "This is for science."
Regardless of how Tifa felt, Aerith had tears in her eyes when she begged her to come with them. As if the thought of doing this with just her and Cloud was simply too much to bear. Cloud hadn't said a peep, but his eyes, always so much more expressive than the rest of the man, conveyed his own desperation.
Aerith jumped from the bed to her feet with a dramatic flourish but was instantly struck with a fresh wave of dizziness. Luckily, she caught herself on the bedpost before she could wobble too much. Hopefully Cloud and Tifa missed that unpleasant little detail…
Cloud was no stranger to blood or injuries, it came with the territory of a mercenary, not to mention the life he lived. He was accustomed to things like this. Whether it was his own flesh, or his enemies. Cloud was unfazed by the sight. But not on Aerith.
Tifa wanted to reassure Aerith that everything would be fine, but she knew there was little she could say that would actually put the girl at ease. Most words would just wind up being empty platitudes.
Aerith was tending her beloved flower garden, or at least that was what she was doing when she first came outside. She'd realized it was a lost cause after she looked over the same three plants almost a dozen times. Now she was more preoccupied enjoying the… show.
While Tifa knew how hard she could punch, and despite her growing fear, she didn't hit Cloud as hard as she could. But it still should have been enough to get him to release her, especially with his burns no doubt causing him so much pain on their own.
A few minutes, by Theon's guess. That was how long it took the Night King to decimate Bran's defenders. All that remained were Theon and two of the ironborn. One of whom it appeared was sporting a broken arm hanging limp at his side.
Up until now, every step Dipper took carried a heavy weight of dread. More than once he found himself watching every shadow, every corner, just waiting for a sign they'd been followed. Thus far, their fortune had held out. A little weight fell off the boy's shoulders now that they were here, but that uncomfortable queasiness that had been plaguing him since this nightmare started w
This entire day had already been way too much like a horror movie for Wendy's liking. As the creature tumbled back into the tube, the redhead briefly wondered if this hadn't been one of those D grade horror movies for kids where the entire cast survived.
"Okay everyone, listen up." Hastrel sighed, his usual facemask missing so he could be heard clearly, as he addressed the assembled two dozen Dawnguard recruits before him. "Due to a lack of available veterans, Durak has asked me to impart some real-world wisdom on you."
Hastrel was an absolute trouble magnet. This much Serana had quickly figured out after a short time traveling in the man's presence. First it was carving through a force of vampires to unknowingly stumble across her tomb, then the near fight in the great hall of Castle Volkihar, not to mention what other fights Hastrel had gotten into when she wasn't looking.
After yet another mission working for Isran, Hastrel returns once again to Fort Dawnguard to report in. He expects another lecture for one reason or another from the leader of the vampire hunters, but what he doesn't expect is to find a surprising guest waiting for him.
Hastrel arched an eyebrow at the vampiress' words before looking over his shoulder. Well, he certainly hadn't been expecting the woman's family home to be an actual castle. This trip was full of surprises, first a not kill-on-sight vampire and now a castle. What was going to be next? A pet dragon Serana rides around?
Serana didn't dare take her eyes from this mortal, but she could smell the blood in the air. His certainly had a powerful scent, but there was something else in the room with them. Vampire blood, and a lot of it. Too much for its owner to still be among the living dead. More than a little of that scent was coming from the man in who's arms Serana now stood.
"STEVE!" The scream into Wanda's earpiece was almost enough to make her eardrum burst. It certainly caught her off guard. Both the yell itself and the actual name spoken.
When Steve is hit by a mysterious attack during a mission, it leads Wanda on a journey the likes of which she never expected.
When Steve falls during a mission, Wanda panics. Doing something that catches all Avengers completely off guard.
Wanda experiences her first Christmas with the Avengers. Mostly Steve/Wanda with a little Tony/Pepper.
Wanda was growing desperate. If she didn't figure out a solution soon there was a very real possibility of her going insane.
It would always be the same. Wanda would stand close to the wall, her fingers running over the letters of her twin's name. While the red mist that accompanied her powers would surround her in almost a blanket of protection.
"Klein... I'm sorry I bailed on you that day." Kirito spoke as he turned his gaze upon Klein. "I think about it all the time." The dual wielder looked at the ground, his tone full of remorse.
Asuna found her thumb slowly circling a spot on her ring finger. A spot that was missing something very dear.
"The crimes of a person's past only became irredeemable the moment they choose to never try." Heavy spoilers for Blackwall's companion quest.
A strange visitor arrives and for unknown reasons stays with The Avengers for a time.
Collection of Kili/Tauriel stories based around certain words.
While waiting for nightfall, Legolas and Tauriel have a heart to heart talk about a certain dwarf.
The company of Thorin Oakenshield receives help from an unexpected source. Will have eventual Kili/Tauriel, and will follow almost exactly as the movie did with a few changes.
Thorin comes to the rescue when his nephews go missing.
Death. The entire field reeked of it. It's stench carrying over everything and everyone. Many unfortunate souls still lay upon the battlefield, badly wounded and all crying for aid. Most would never be leaving this place whole if at all.
Thranduil has a final talk with Tauriel.
[SPOILER WARNING] Tauriel would have assumed the last thing Kili wanted to see would have been his brother Fili, Thorin, or even Erebor or even his mother. No, the sight he wanted was her. The words brought a rush of affection that faded as quick as it took Tauriel to remember Kili was not going to be leaving this mountain alive.
