What if the road to hell isn't paved with good intentions? What if good intentions that go awry sometimes lift us higher than we would have ever thought possible? After the DOM, Harry bears his soul to Hermione in a letter, provoking the incident that gave them a chance at true happiness. Damn the consequences, because their love is worth it, and who needs that pesky vision anyway?
One-shot. In a panic after being forced to hear his Valentine's Day poem sung aloud before half the school, Harry hurries to consult the one friend who he believes is a master of all things girl. The discussion with Hermione does not go as he had initially planned, much like everything else in his second year at Hogwarts.
Cognition is a potent machine; a process that, in the right hands, allows us to achieve wonders. To Hermione, thought and language are works of art she can use to her benefit. Therefore she turns to writing a journal when she realizes the greatest error she has ever made in marrying Ron. Can she achieve her desire in bringing Harry closer to her? Post DH, No bashing. The Druids leave behind their anonymity and send an ambassador to aid in the fight against Voldemort who is far more powerful than in cannon. The magical world must cope with a forgotten people, a dark god, and a trans-gender heroine they were not prepared for. Horcrux and Hallow concepts altered to compliment a new magic system. No bashing, HPotter/HGranger/DErmaine
Harry, in returning from near death is changed in his understanding of the world around him. It comes with a price, that of realization and perception. There is peace and love and pain within this knowledge. Events continue as in cannon, but that perception can oft be cruel. His love for Hermione is now unrequited, but there is calm acceptance in this. Poetic exposition. One-shot.
Companion to "Reflections that Drive Us," though can be taken separately. Hermione resorts to writing to sort out the difficulties she has come upon in realizing she does not love Ron whom she has just married. Harmony all the way and no bashing. There is a full summary inside that explains it much better than this.
One-shot. Hermione battles against her own reason and comes up against one of her greatest fears. She needs to face it so she can better understand the young man who makes her feel so incredible even without trying to. Absolutely inspired by the song, though in a totally different way than perhaps intended. Hope you enjoy. Absolutely a Harmony fic. Sixth year.
Challenge Response: Harry discovers his new ability to stand up to his cousin, just in time to rescue two kids from the latest roung of bullying. What happens when their family likes him and wants to introduce him to their favourite cousin, Auntie Read? Apparently she loves books and has been telling the kids about a hero with green eyes.
The morning after Harry is forced in to the Tri-Wizard Tournament, he leaves Gryffindor tower with a heavy heart. He has been condemned by his best mate and no one believes him. He leaves the portrait hole to find his best friend and a tower of toast waiting for him. Somehow she knew. And so just a little twist to one of my favorite GOF scenes is all it takes. Harry ran after Hermione when Ron kissed Lavender. Would it not stand to reason that his heart would do the same? One Shot, rating for language.
While attempting to compliment his bride, Ron inadvertently says the worst things possible, leaving Harry to save his best friend from her sorrow. -May gain more chapters if there is interest shown otherwise it will remain on its own.
