Stories by Trygvasson

One year after Voldemort killed Lily and James Potter, Severus Snape pays a visit to Number 4 Privet Drive. He has a duty to Lily Evans, the best friend he ever had, and therefore to her son and her sister. He finds himself assuming the role of the child's uncle. Hopefully, this will be enough to redress some of the hurt he caused.
At the moment of his death, Severus Snape travels back in time to his worst memory... and promptly "nopes" right out of that situation to go do something better with this second life. He ends up in an unlikely collaboration with Petunia Evans and Sybill Trelawney on a quest to save John Lennon. (Pure crack)

The Accident that Changed History by Trygvasson Stale Result (Last seen: )

Sirius Black always got away with bullying Snape, until the one time things went too far, and he didn't. Expelled halfway through his seventh year at Hogwarts, his first job offer is dangerous to refuse, from his cousin Bellatrix. Sirius is the one who ends up as the Order's double-agent in the First Wizarding War. Rated for language and psychological horror, nonexplicit
A retelling of the first Thor movie from Loki's perspective, in which Loki is very much not Asgardian, which turns out to be a favorable thing, as Asgardians are widely regarded as annoying and idiotic by the greater space-faring civilizations around them. As it turns out, once Loki has hope of a better future somewhere else, he does not have to go insane.
In which Light Yagami fits the profile perfectly, but he isn't Kira. No really, he isn't. And so he and L must work together to identify the real killer. The most important question being, if Light isn't Kira, then why does all the evidence still seem to point to him? Very long Oneshot. Rated M for language and because it's Death Note.
In which Loki enters into a poorly-considered wager with his blood-brother Odin and ends up pretending to be Thor's younger brother for an inexcusably long time. (Basically, the Loki from Norse Mythology is the real one, but ends up becoming the MCU Loki on a bet). Pure crack. Oneshot.

The Weasley Row by Trygvasson Stale Result (Last seen: )

There's a reason Percy Weasley couldn't - not wouldn't - believe that Voldemort was back. It's not because he's a pompous prat. Oneshot, Percy POV, starting with the day of The Argument and left the Weasley household, all the way through a year past the end of Deathly Hallows. Complete.

Riddle: Summer 1941 by Trygvasson Stale Result (Last seen: )

When Tom Riddle returns to London for the summer, he finds Wool's Orphanage was hit during the Blitz. Rather than staying in the parish church or on the streets, Tom angrily breaks in to the Leaky Cauldron that night. The barman doesn't punish him. Instead, he rallies various magical adults in Tom's life to get him the help he needs, and even a family to live with, the Lovegoods...

Legal Guardian, Technically by Trygvasson Stale Result (Last seen: )

In which Dumbledore actually listens to Mrs. Figg's reports of child neglect, and Remus Lupin ends up becoming five-year-old Harry Potter's guardian. Technically. It helps to have the Chief Warlock on your side to smooth out the legalities. Now, what to do with all of Sirius Black's undeserved money? Humorous oneshot.
After his failed invasion of Midgard, Loki returns to Asgard with severe injuries and brain damage. It will take a lot of love and friendship for him to heal, if he can withstand the foes who still want him dead. Rated M for violence and romance.
It's been 600 years since Thor saw Loki, and then Loki returns one night with something very, very, very wrong with him. It is not what Thor ever could have imagined for his brother. Oneshot.
Thor caught Loki when he fell from the Bifrost: what changed? Thor still retrieved the Tesseract and met the Avengers when someone else invaded Earth. Jane and Thor reunited during the Convergence. Loki remains quiet in Asgard under house arrest, making amends as he can, but when he's injured, only humans will help. M for violence and med/psych illness. Was a series of oneshots

Out of the Abyss by Trygvasson Stale Result (Last seen: )

Living things are not made to survive the Void. The Void is the catalyst that unmakes Loki, and everything that happens afterwards is merely consequences. Warning: Science! Philosophy! Angst! Nothing graphic though.

The Eldar Days of Samwise Gamgee by Trygvasson Stale Result (Last seen: )

Decades after the Return of the King, Sam is an old hobbit living a quiet life and feeling the call of the West. He goes on a walk and meets the oldest elf on Middle Earth, the last remaining of the First Generation, now bound for the Grey Havens.

Courtship, Convalescence, and Convergence by Trygvasson Stale Result (Last seen: )

How would the Dark World play out if Thor wasn't at odds with Odin, and Loki was there to help strategize, even if he's still got issues of his own to deal with? Jane's outsider perspective is helpful, it turns out. EDIT: MOVED TO "UNFALLEN" WITH PREQUEL AND SEQUEL

Thunder and Tempest by Trygvasson Stale Result (Last seen: )

A story of what happens to Thor once the Bifrost is broken. He saved Loki from falling, but his brother is still... lost. And everything in the Nine Realms is different. How can they adjust? How can they survive? EDIT: MOVED TO "UNFALLEN" WITH SEQUELS

Falling Again by Trygvasson Stale Result (Last seen: )

Updated: this is no longer a oneshot but a retelling of Thor Ragnarok where Loki has some...issues. Starting with a fear of falling.

Midnight at Number Nine Grimmauld Place by Trygvasson Stale Result (Last seen: )

A young witch is very excited to meet her hero Harry Potter, who is very old now but doesn't seem to mind entertaining a child. There's a lot she doesn't know about the War, though. That's a bad summary, but basically it's a little scene based on a dream I had, so whatever.

Mutilation by Trygvasson Stale Result (Last seen: )

After the Battle in New York, the Avengers discover exactly what happened to Loki and why, and it's definitely not pretty. Definitely Whump. M for violence and trauma.

The Shattered God by Trygvasson Stale Result (Last seen: )

The Avengers finally track down Loki, but it is not at all like they expected. He needs help. Contains mental illness, references to infanticide, and graphic violence in later chapters.
Healthy and mature relationships do not make for good cinema, most of the time. But sometimes, isn't it nice to imagine things working out well for a beloved and put-upon character like Prince Loki of Asgard? This is an alternative to the scene in Thor 1 where Loki discovers his Jotun heritage and confronts Odin, where it all works out nicely for a change. Oneshot.
In "The Disir," (Season 5), Arthur is challenged to be merciful towards the Old Religion or else condemn young Mordred to death. Arthur is torn and asks Merlin's opinion. Merlin, plagued by prophetic visions of Mordred killing Arthur, advises him to maintain the ban. That was the wrong choice, Merlin discovers. In this version, he makes the right choice. Oneshot
